Are You Making One Of These Common Interior Design Mistakes?

Check out these tips on styling your space like the pros!

7. Over Accessorizing

You know the rule: Less is more. Yes, little accessories and nicknacks can add a personal touch to any space, but try to keep it to a sprinkling of accessories rather than a flood. Try having a focal piece, whether it’s a large canvas painting or a large sculpture or even a unique lamp, and then add a few accessories to compliment the focal piece.

8. Lots Of Little Things

If you have the option of small, medium, or large, always go large. Lots of little things can easily lead to clutter, and that’s not what we want! Plus, more little things means more dusting. Yuck. Instead, go for bigger, and fewer accessories. For example, if you really love a vase and it comes in a small and a large, by getting the smaller one you’ll have to add more things to fill the same space, and then the gorgeous vase will get lost in the clutter. If you really love it, spend the extra money and go big!
