It can be tricky to know where to begin when you’re about to start a DIY project. But, with these handy tips and tricks you can learn how to prepare any surface for painting the right way!
Metal
Remove all flaking paint and/or rust with a wire brush as the first step in preparation for paint. Next wipe down all areas with a tack cloth to remove any loose particles.
If you like you can use a metal primer as the next step or you can buy a spray paint specially formulated with the primer already in (our favorite). Use several thin coats for the most even finish.
