Most people dream of living in a tiny house, but they are not ready to give up their current lifestyle. This is why people are now building tiny homes in their backyards to “escape” from the world. They offer a great opportunity to pull out a good book, relax, and have some quiet time.

Artist Jason Koxvold commissioned Studio Padron to repurpose some old oak trees that were cleared when constructing his vacation home in upstate New York. The goal was to create a tiny one-room library that he could take a vacation from his vaction.

Koxvold decided to name his tiny library Hemmelig Rom, which translates to “secret room” in Norwegian.

The idyllic forest hideaway includes a large picture window, a wood stove, floor-to-ceiling shelving for books, and space to snuggle up to read a good book.

They also included a small bed so guests have a unique space to sleep when they visit.
