We know, we know. You learned that in school. That information is in a textbook somewhere at your old middle school or high school. You know for a fact it is true. Textbooks never lie. Right? Wrong.

Another question for you. Who exactly did invent the lightbulb? Nope, not Thomas Edison.

One more. Think “irregardless” is not a word? Well my friend, you are not completely up-to-date on your information.

We could keep going, but we will save you some frustration and feeling like you may not actually know anything after all. Please do not blame yourself! Many of us learned things in school that did not end up being entirely true. Because, yes, even education systems can be fallible. Even textbooks do not have all the correct answers.

There are just too many historical facts that people disagree about. It’s not necessarily anyone’s fault that you were taught these incorrect facts.
