Fall is hands down, my favorite seasons. The cool crisp air, trips to apple orchard and pumpkin patches, sweaters and boots, it just doesn’t get any better than that if you ask me! It also makes for a great time to get together with friends and family, enjoying bowls of hot chili and mugs full of hot apple cider or mulled wine. Thankfully, we have the perfect way to continue that celebration with today’s project.

Using a fusible appliqué pumpkin and some free motion quilting, you can make a fun, festive pumpkin mug rug! This is a fun project that not only lets you practice your free motion quilting, but also gives you a handy little mug rug that will get you into the fall spirit in no time!
