You Won’t Believe What These Shelves Are Made Of. AWESOME!

I think these shelves look fun as decoration all on their own! Would you believe that you only need 3 simple supplies to compete this project?

How cute are these shelves? I love that you can completely customize the number of hexagons, making a single, double, or triple “honeycomb” shape. You can make them deeper or more shallow depending on what exactly you want to do with them. I think these shelves look fun as decoration all on their own! Would you believe that you only need 3 simple supplies to compete this project? Hot glue, paint, and popsicle sticks! That’s it. Once you get the hang of alternating every other popsicle stick, these come together really quickly.

Supplies:

– Popsicle sticks (100-200 per shelf, depending on the size)

– Paint or wood stain

– Hot glue

Directions:

Paint and/or stain the popsicles sticks, and let them dry completely.

Trace and cut out several hexagon shapes.

Once the sticks are dry, position around outside of the hexagon, alternating every other hexagon side, as pictured:

Place a popsicle stick over the empty side of the hexagon, securing with a dot of glue to the other two sticks already laying on the pattern.

Continue to layer the popsicle sticks, alternating hexagon sides.

Once everything is dry, hang up your shelves!
