As a woodworker, you likely know that not every project we make is going to be some kind of gorgeous heirloom piece, even if we wish it could be. Instead, we often find ourselves in a world of DIY projects and needing to fix or update things around the house. If you’re like me, I really don’t mind when these projects come up because they often allow me to work on the basic skills and take it a bit easier before getting back to my next intricate project.

In today’s video with one of our favorites, Steve Ramsey from Woodworking for Mere Mortals, he takes us through one of his DIY projects as a reminder that while not all projects may be earth-shatteringly beautiful, all projects can benefit from good planning and workflow. Check out what Steve is up to today and then let us know the last DIY you had to take care of around the house and how you put these strategies to use.
