Show Your Cat How Much You Love Them With This Easy DIY Toy!

I had so much fun making these, but not nearly as much fun as my cat had playing with all of the samples afterward!

I had so much fun making these, but not nearly as much fun as my cat had playing with all of the samples afterward! Even the most novice of crocheters can whip this toy up in half an hour – it is entirely made up of single crochet stitches. The best part is, they can be customized any way you can imagine! From stitching your cat’s name on one side, to attaching pom-poms on the corners, these catnip triangles are just too cute!

Supplies:

– 3 colors of yarn

– Crochet hook (5.5 mm or smaller 0 we don’t want loose spaces!)

– Yarn scraps

– Loose catnip

Directions:

Triangle Crochet Pattern

Row 1: Chain 3 (counts as 1 single crochet), single crochet in first chain, turn [2 sc total]

Row 2: Chain 2 (counts as 1 single crochet), Single crochet in same stitch as chain, single crochet in next stitch, turn [3 sc total]

Row 3: Chain 2 (counts as 1 single crochet), single crochet in first st, and every stitch on the row [4 single crochet]

Rows 4-12: Continue in the same way, increasing 1 single crochet in the start of each row, until you have 13 single crochet (or desired size).

Weave in ends.

Assembly

Open up, stuff half full with yarn scraps.

Sprinkle a pinch of catnip over the yarn, and fill the rest of the way with yarn scraps.

Close the 3rd edge with a row of single crochet.
