What if I told you that all takes for the perfect beach blanket is a flat bed sheet, tent stakes, and shoelaces? Well, it’s true! It’s seriously that easy to create a beach blanket that repels sand, stays in place, dries quickly, packs compactly, and remains spread out while you use it. Sawdust 2 Stitches came up with this brilliant hack to create a solution to all our beach problems – it’s lightweight, inexpensive, and ideal for every day on the shore!

Supplies:

Flat sheet, shoelaces, tent stakes, sewing machine (or sewing kit if sewing by hand)

Directions:

Cut footlong sections of shoelace and tie knots in each, then fold the corners of the sheet over the shoelace loops and sew in place. That’s it!
