Are you familiar with companion planting? If not, companion planting is a planting method whereby you plant two or more plants close together in order to gain benefits and protection for the plants from pests or to help give your produce an improved flavor.

Obviously the best time to think about companion planting would be before you actually begin planting for the season. I know, I know…obvious, but still worth mentioning.

So if you’re working on your garden plan for the year and you want to give companion planting a try this time around, I highly suggest checking out the below video from the Alberta Urban Garden as the break down all the basic and need-to-know information for those new to this process, or just anyone who needs a little refresh.
