Chain Multiples Of 4 And Repeat Pattern For This Lacey Accessory!

The beauty of this pattern is that you’re really just repeating two rows!

Isn’t this scarf the prettiest thing ever? I just love the delicate lace look, and yet this repeatable pattern is so easy to do! If you can double crochet, single crochet, and chain, then you can totally make this scarf in no time. The beauty of this pattern is that you’re really just repeating two rows – the set up row made up of chains and single crochets, and the “bricks and lattice” row with double crochets and single crochets. All of the stitches are worked within chain spaces so this is a very simple project to get the hang of and work on while watching your favorite show. (Gilmore Girls, anyone?)

Go ahead and see how this pattern works up in the video below, and then get the free crochet pattern beneath the video! Happy crocheting, friends!

Brick and Lattice Scarf

Chain multiples of 4 + 2 until you reach your desired width.

Row 1: Turn the work. Skip one chain and sc in the next chain. Chain 4, skip 3, sc in the next chain. Repeat across the row.

Row 2: Turn work. Chain 3. *4 dc in ch 4 space of previous row. (brick) Chain 2, sc in the next chain 4 space. Chain 2.(lattice)* Repeat across the row.

Row 3 (and all odd rows): Turn work. Chain 1, single crochet in the first ch 2 space. *Chain 4, sc in next chain 2 space.* Repeat across the row. End the last loop with a sc in the turning chain.

Row 4: Repeat row 2 of bricks & lattice. If you ended with a brick in row 2, start with a lattice, vice versa. Repeat the pattern, staggering your bricks and lattice.

To make an infinity scarf: Lay scarf out flat. Grab one end, twist once, and line up with the other end. Slip stitch across to close loop.

Wear and enjoy!
