What’s the first thing you do when you hear that a loved one is having a baby? Crochet a gift, of course! The standard baby blanket is a nice go-to for those last minute baby shower invites, but it can get old and predictable after a while. Why not spruce it up with some baby booties or a cute dress? How about a full on cowboy getup? As you’ll see in the following pictures, there are dozens of creative outfits to crochet for the bouncing baby to be! Thank you to everyone who has shared photos of your projects! These are just a few of our favorites. Keep sending in more photos for a chance to be in our next article!
Cowboy Baby Set
From crocheter, Barbara Zimmerman: “Complete with hat, boots, chaps, and diaper cover. What a joy to crochet!”
Pink Cascade Baby Dress
From the crocheter: “I made this dress using a size G/4.5 mm hook and Baby Bee Sweet Delight yarn. The yarn is 4 oz and the name is kitty/301 lot #176787. I used a plain HDC and DC for the yoke and a cascade stitch for the skirt. I added a pink ribbon with heart and flower buttons for the back closure and for the bodice. ”
From crocheter, Lynn Bogetich Rouse: “A baby dress with headband that I made for a friend of mine`s great niece for Easter.”
