6 Tips For Selling Your Knit And Crochet Items

Want to make some money with your crafting skills? Here’s what you need to know!

Get The Right Price

This is perhaps the trickiest part of selling your own items. Far too often people err on one side or the other. Either they set the price too low, and don’t factor in the time they are spending on the projects and eventually get burnt out, or they set the price too high initially and never make a sale! A good rule of thumb is: Time + Materials = Cost. Cost X2 = wholesale price. Wholesale price x2 = retail price. For this formula, you’ll have to place a monetary value on your time. So for example, $5 + $5 = $10 (cost). $10 x2 = $20 (wholesale). $20 x2 = $40 (retail).
