5 Steps To Take Before Bringing Plants Inside For The Winter
The lazy days of summer are over, not just for you, but for your plants!
A Smooth Transition
As mentioned earlier, some plants may require a bit of a transition period when changing landscapes for the season. If your plant starts to develop yellow and dropping leaves, it may be in transplant shock. Start taking the plant outdoors during the day time, and bringing it in at night. Slowly increase the time inside, until the plant remains indoors 24/7. Once the plant is happy and healthy, it will replace the yellow leaves it lost.
Don’t Overwater
Indoor plants do not require as much water as outdoor plants during the heat of summer. Be careful to adjust your watering habits accordingly. Only water house plants when the soil is dry to the touch.
