Homemade Blush & Bronzer

Ingredients:

For Blush: 2 tablespoons arrowroot powder, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, hibiscus powder, beet root powder.

For Bronzer: 2 tablespoons arrowroot powder, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, ginger powder, cocoa powder

Instructions: Combine arrowroot powder and cornstarch, adding in the colored powders (hibiscus & beet root for blush, ginger & cocoa for bronzer) 1 teaspoon at a time until your desired shade is reached. This will make for a loose blush and bronzer. If you want to make a compact version, simply add some alcohol or witch hazel until it becomes a paste, and then press it into an empty container and allow to dry overnight.

Easy At Home Shaving Cream

Ingredients:

1 cup coconut oil, 1/4 cup almond oil, 1 cup Shea butter, 10-12 drops lime essential oil, 10-12 drops coconut essential oil.

Instructions: Melt coconut oil and Shea butter over medium heat. Stir frequently until both are melted. Remove from heat, stir in almond oil, let cool. (You can place the pot in the fridge to help cool and harden up). Transfer to another bowl and add essential oils. With either a hand or a stand mixer, whip until light and fluffy. The end result should be like whipped cream. Store in an air tight container, like a mason jar.

Four Ingredient Lip Gloss

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons honey, 2 tablespoons coconut oil, 1 teaspoon powdered cranberry, 2 drops vitamin E.

Instructions: Place all of the ingredients in a microwave safe dish, heat up for 30 seconds. Mix together, and place in a small container. Let cool completely, apply with a clean finger!

Heat Protectant Hair Spray

Ingredients:

Almond oil (or grapeseed or argan oil), coconut oil, hair conditioner of your choice, water.

Instructions: Pour about 200 ml of water into a spray bottle, leaving about 3 inches of head space. Add 2-4 drops of coconut oil, and 4-5 drops of almond oil. Squeeze 2 dime sized drops of your favorite conditioner into the spray bottle. Optional: 2-3 drops of dry oil, like argan oil or lavender or rosemary essential oils. Once all the ingredients are in the bottle, add another 50 ml of water on top, and shake to mix. The spray will lather up a bit due to the conditioner, but once everything is settled it should be translucent or slightly milky white.

Honey & Sugar Facial

Ingredients:

Sugar and honey. (Yup, it really is that simple).

Instructions: Use a new bottle of honey (the kind in the squeeze bear bottles works best, since it is so soft), and squeeze into a half pint mason jar, or similar sized container until the jar is 2/3 full. Add white granulated sugar a tablespoon at a time until you reach the right consistency. Use like you would any other facial scrub, and be careful not to rub too hard! Leave the honey mixture on your face for 5 minutes to get all of the hydrating benefits, and then rinse off.
