Advent Calendar With Scripture Readings

Advent calendars are a fun way to mark each day leading up to Christmas, and a DIY calendar is really fun to put together, especially as we come together to share time with family, friends, and faith. An Advent calendar with scripture readings is a way to celebrate the spirit of the season on each day leading up to Christmas. Supplies

— Holiday cardstock

— Double-sided tape or glue & hot glue gun

— Scissors

— Display board

— Spray paint (red, gold, or green)

Directions

— Paint board, add any additional designs.

— While the board dries, do a quick online search for different names of Jesus (as found in scripture) or Advent readings from scripture, print them off or handwrite and then cut out into desired shape.

— Cut out 25 “windows”.

— Use double-sided tape or glue to attach the window to the scripture verses.

— With a hot glue gun, apply to the board, either in numerical order or in random order.

— Open for each day!
