Go ahead and check out our list of ways to use rubbing alcohol, and let us know your favorite one in the comments below!
Disinfect Makeup Brushes
We use our makeup brushes almost every day. They have caked on makeup, not to mention oils and dirt from our skin. It makes sense that we should wash them, but we hardly ever think about it. If you’ve never washed your makeup brushes, now is a great time to start. If you don’t wash your makeup brushes, you have a higher risk of breaking out. You really should be washing out your brushes about once a month. The good news is, this is quite an easy process! Simply pour some rubbing alcohol into a shallow bowl or dish, and soak your brushes for 30 minutes. Take the brushes out and let them air dry for a few hours and they’ll be good as new!
De-Icer Spray For Car & Home
If you live in an area that gets snow and ice during the winter, then you’re probably all too familiar with the morning madness that is de-icing the car. On a good day, you might be able to come out and start your car 10 minutes early and let it warm up while you scrape the ice off of your windshield. On a bad day, your ice scraper breaks and you have to sit in your car and wait for the defrost to make a little hole over the driver’s side of the windshield and pray that it will be enough for you to see out of since you’re already 15 minutes late to work. Well, no more! This spray is truly a game changer. Simply fill a spray bottle with 1/3 water and 2/3 rubbing alcohol. Spray the mixture on your windows and any other part of the car and watch as the ice melts away! Run your wipers a few times and you’ll have a clear windshield in no time.
