Easy Fringe

Are you looking to add a fun new stitching technique to your arsenal? We’ve got just the thing! This easy way to make fringe will have you adding fun flairs to all kinds of clothing, blankets, and pillows. Start by securing the thread into the fabric and then make a normal back stitch, only before inserting the needle back into the fabric, loop it around a pencil, or another long, round object. This will make a series of loops as you continue back stitching and looping. When your done (or at the end of the pencil), simply cut the loops and admire your new fringe! Sweater Repair

Has this ever happened to you? Your favorite knitted sweater suddenly has a gaping hole in it and you’re afraid it’s about to unravel at any second. Good news! This easy fix will have your sweater ready to wear in no time. Grab a needle and some embroidery floss. Start by threading the needle into the first two loops on top of the hole. Then, thread the needle diagonally to the first loop on the bottom, and pull through the second bottom loop, creating a circle of sorts. Go back to the seond loop on top and thread the needle through the second and third loops, creating an overlapping circle. Continue going back and forth between top and bottom, always overlapping the loops. Pull tight and watch the hole disappear! Get the full tutorial on the last page.
