The Easiest Quilt You’ll Ever Make!

Rob from Man Sewing has done it again! This gorgeous Mandala quilt looks complex, but in reality, it’s one of the easiest things you’ll ever quilt! Thanks to fusible quilt backing, you can simply cut your background fabric, cut your shapes, and stick them right on the background fabric, no quilting required. As Rob says, this leaves plenty of time for his favorite part: arranging (and rearranging) the pattern! Part of what makes this quilt so beautiful and unique is the variegated fabric used for the petals. It adds a layer of complexity to an otherwise very simple quilt.

If you don’t have the Orange Peel templates from the Missouri Star Quilt Company, you can download Rob’s free printable template here! Simply cut out the template and trace it onto some cardboard or a sturdy material of some kind and use that as your template to make the mandala petals. This quilt really comes together so nicely, and it leaves plenty of space in the background to really utilize texture in the top quilting! What will you quilt in the background?
