Natural, DIY Tricks To Make Your House Smell Amazing

Chemical perfumes? Doesn’t exactly seem “fresh,” does it? Find out how you can make your home smell great the natural (and cheap!) way.

All-Natural (And Dirt Cheap!) Glass Cleaner

Hate the smell of chemically-laden glass and window cleaner? Did you know there’s a homemade remedy that works just as well and doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals? And chances are you already have it underneath your sink. Vinegar! That’s right, good old-fashioned white vinegar. Mix equal parts vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray the solution onto dirty windows or mirrors, and wipe clean with a lint-free cloth. For hard-to-remove water spots, use undiluted vinegar directly. You’ll never pay for glass cleaner again!

Deodorizing Powder

Mix oil of lemon with baking soda and use a sieve to break up clumps. Then, you can either shake the powder on carpets, sofas and chairs to eliminate odors directly, or you can place it in small bowls in the corner of your room to freshen the air for weeks to come. If you choose to sprinkle it, let the powder sit for about 8 hours before vacuuming it up.
