She Tapes String To A Balloon… When She’s Done You’ll Want To Make One!

This winter decoration is sure to bring a smile to your face!

Winter is in full swing around our house, and you know what that means – hot cocoa, reading books by the fire, and of course, SNOW! Some people get really cranky when it snows, and they complain about the cold, the slush, and their car not starting up. I don’t care what anyone says, I love snow. I love the way it sparkles and floats down to earth and how the world looks a little brighter under the covers of a fresh snow. Nothing reminds me of the twinkling snowflakes and fresh, frosty air than a snowman!

This little guy isn’t made with actual snow, but he sure is cute, isn’t he? Out here we don’t get much snow, even in the winter, so I love any little reminder of winter I can get. This project is really easy to do, and you probably already have everything you need on hand! Just blow up two balloons and tape them together to form the shape of your snowman. Then, wrap white yarn all around the balloons, making sure your yarn crosses over itself multiple times. When everything is in place, exactly as you want it, simply mix equal parts glue, cornstarch, and water in a bowl. Paint this mixture on the string and let sit overnight to dry. In the morning, pop the balloons and decorate accordingly! That’s it! See how it’s done in the video below, and get inspired to try it out for yourself.
