How To Clean Your Sewing Machine… With A Dime?

For those of us who spend a lot of time at the sewing machine, we know how important it is to keep things clean and oiled in order for everything to run smoothly! Now, we always suggest finding your local sewing machine dealership or repair shop and maintaining a good relationship with them for any problems that you have. But, for general cleaning and upkeep, there are a few things we can do ourselves!

Rob from Man Sewing is here to show us a bunch of amazing little tips and tricks for cleaning out our sewing machine!

His first tip is more of a warning – don’t use the cans of spray air! Ever! They tend to spray moisture and gunk into your machine, and after years of this, it wil really build up and ruin your machine!

Another great tip Rob gives us, is a way to remove those pesky beviled screws that hold down the plate of your sewing machine. Sometimes the little screwdrivers just don’t cut it, so Rob uses a dime!
