Isn’t this Chasing Rainbows baby blanket just adorable? I love the lattice work and the use of multi-color yarn for that super fun and colorful vibe! What a fun gift for a baby or toddler. So many colors to look at!
Plus, doesn’t this look so comfortable to wrap up in? Maybe I want to make a grown-up sized one for myself… And I totally can, because in the video below we see how to adjust the size of the blanket in a snap! Instead of chaining 130 for the baby blanket, just chain multiples of 6 plus 4.
This blanket may look complicated with the trellis work – and it almost looks like tapestry crochet, but never fear! This isn’t a difficult pattern. The basic repeat is a row of shell stitches (5 double crochets in one stitch, skip 2, repeat) and then a row of “trellis” work which is just chains and a double crochet cross-over. You’ll learn how to do the cross-over in the video below!
This pattern is an intermediate level, but I think just about anyone with a basic knowledge of crochet stitches could pull it off! Go ahead and see how it all comes together in the video below. As always, happy crocheting, friends!
