Bring a Little Life to the Bathroom With These Plants

A Small Plant or Two Can Do Wonders for Your Bathroom Decor

Your bathroom doesn’t have to be neglected when it comes to interior decorating. Consider a house plant in the corner, but make sure to take into account light levels and water needs. A plant in the bathroom may get extra water from the steam coming from your shower. Go for smaller plants if you have a small space, and make sure you have fluorescent lights to mimic the wavelengths of sunlight that plants need to survive.

Orchids

Orchids thrive in wet, tropical climates. Keep your bathroom warm, and give orchids plenty of water.

Snake Plants

Snake plants are low-maintenance, low-light plants that filter formaldehyde from the air. Formaldehyde occurs in many household items, such as toilet paper, tissues and cleaning products.

Peace Lilies

Peace lilies add a touch of white to a corner. These plants don’t need a lot of water in terms of maintenance and regular care.

Ferns

Ferns prefer bright sunlight. Use this plant if you have a bathroom with at least one decent window that receives direct sunlight during some part of the day.
