Plant-Based Yarn
By far, the most common plant-based yarn is cotton. Cotton is lightweight and durable – able to withstand lots of cycles in the washing machine. The stitch definition on cotton is amazing, so if you’re looking to show off your stitches, cotton might be the one for you! Hemp yarn is shiny and soft to the touch. A relative newcomer to the crafting world, hemp yarn is ideal for summer garments. Bamboo yarn is hard to find, but quite a delight to work with. Bamboo yarn is super breathable and soft, perfect for summer projects.
