Chances are if you’re reading this, you already have a pretty healthy appetite for books. Most people read something, in fact according to the latest stats from the Pew Research Center, 75% of Americans age 16 and older read an average of at least 6 books last year. You would think that the more successful the person, the less time they would have to read, but in fact, the most successful people have made a point to carve out intentional time dedicated solely to their reading habits. Bill Gates, for example, averages one book a week. Warren Buffet reads an average of 500 pages a day. While these goals may not be sustainable, the principle behind the practice is solid: Have a daily page goal and stick to it. This is the first tip in developing a consistent reading habit.
