The Easiest Way To Get Flawless Tie-Dye!

What a fun activity to do with the kiddos!

How cute are these tote bags? I just love how this craft turned out, and I really love how cheap and easy it was to complete – the trifecta of DIY projects! All you need for this fun craft is some canvas tote bags, RIT dye, and vinyl letters.

We put the TIY dye in some spray bottles, but you can experiment with different methods of applying the dye. One fun way would be with an eye dropper! Of course, you can always dip your bags in the dye as well, for a more traditional kind of look.

For the first tote bag, I tried going for an ombre look. I started at one corner of the bag and sprayed some green dye. Then, I went for a blue streak down the middle. Finally, I ended in the opposite corner with some pink dye. I really like the way this one turned out!

It might take some time to get the right balance of RIT dye and water. We didn’t have exact measurements, but we knew it needed to be diluted a little bit so as not to totally eat through the fabric. Go ahead and see what we did in the video below, and don’t be afraid to try out this easy craft for yourself!
