Wow! What an incredible transformation! If you’ve ever experienced the pain of mold on your outdoor furniture, even when you’ve covered the piece with a finish that claims to be able to weather any storm, then this video is for you!

It’s important to remember that wood furniture, when left out in the sun, will always change color a little bit. Even natural wood will gray sooner or later, so the thing to keep in mind is the integrity of the wood. I think we can all agree that mold on a finished table is not good!

Steve Ramsey, from Wood Working for Mere Mortals shows us just how to get rid of this pesky mold, and what product to use instead of the outdoor finish.

First, he applies a coat of X-14 to get rid of the mold. After letting it sit for a bit, he sprays it off. In the image above, we see how the mold and the old finish is just stripped away! Steve lets it dry, and then finishes with a coat of deck stain. As you can see, the transformation is stunning!
