In 1979, Jackie O purchased a gorgeous estate on Martha’s Vineyard. The property, known as Red Gate Farm (or the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Martha’s Vineyard Estate) is now for sale — and it costs $65 million.

According to Christie’s International Real Estate, the 340-acre oceanfront estate has two houses: the Cape Cod-style house, which has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, with 6,456 square feet of indoor space; and the guest house, which has four bedrooms. The property also boasts a pool, a tennis court, an exercise studio, a blueberry patch, a vegetable garden, a fairy treehouse (that Jackie O built for her grandkids), a barn, a boathouse, a hunting cabin, two garages, and a storage building.

There is also a three-bedroom caretaker’s house and a two-bedroom apartment for guests or staff.

Of course, the property is nothing without its rich history. In a statement to the press, Jackie O’s daughter, Caroline Kennedy, said:

“Forty years ago, my mother fell in love with Martha’s Vineyard. When she found Red Gate Farm, it was a perfect expression of her romantic and adventurous spirit. The dunes and ponds and rolling hills of Aquinnah gave her the chance to create a world where she could be so close to nature, close to her family and friends, and, most importantly, close to her beloved books. She even built a fairy treehouse for her grandchildren. Those grandchildren are grown so now it is time for us to follow my mother’s example and create our own worlds. We hope that a new family will treasure this place as we have for three generations. We are excited about the next chapter for Red Gate Farm.”
