5+ Ways To Start Prepping Your Garden For Spring!

It’s not too early to prep the garden for spring!

I don’t know about you, but I’m itching to get back out into the garden! Spring is still several long weeks away, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still plenty to do out in the garden to prep for season ahead!

It may still be winter, but this is a great time to get the garden prepped for the spring and summer months ahead! Warmer weather will be here before we know it. February is a great month to get started on the heat-loving, slow-growing vegetables like peppers!

Another thing that I often overlook is taking proper care of my gardening tools. During the busy spring, summer, and fall months, I don’t have time to sharpen and clean after each use, but then when winter comes around there’s so much to do with shutting down the garden and covering the beds that I don’t think about the tools then, either. This is the perfect time to get out the tools and oil, sharpen, and clean them. Also, take inventory and see if anything needs replacing or repairing. There’s nothing worse than getting elbow deep in the dirt and realizing your tools are broken!
