DIY Foam Roller

If you’ve ever experienced that post-workout muscle soreness (DOMS), then you’ve hopefully also met my best friend, the foam roller. Foam rollers are one of my favorite love-hate pieces of equipment in the gym and my home. I hate them while I’m using them, rolling out my tight quads and hamstrings, but I sure love them after the fact when I can walk the day after a long run.

There are so many varieties of foam rollers and as such, they can range in price pretty drastically, making it hard to know what’s a good option and what’s a waste of money. For most people, I would recommend just a standard foam roller, which as I’m sure you can see where this is going, you can DIY with a PVC and an old yoga mat.

DIY Yoga Mat Rack

Even if my home gym is in the garage or basement, the organizational freak in me just can not let it all be left cluttered. I love this DIY yoga mat rack idea; it’s the perfect way to store a few mats (because hello, your significant other or best friend will definitely want to join you for a workout after they see all of your cool new equipment) and even has a spot for your foam roller.
