Fun Ways to Reuse Plastic Animal Figurines!

Has Your Child Outgrown Those Animal Figurines? Recycle Them as Crafts!

Key Hangers

Key hangers in your mud room combine techniques from the refrigerator magnet project with the ring holders. Cut off the heads of elephants, spray paint them your favorite color, and glue them to a wooden board that goes on the wall of your mud room. Hang your car keys, house keys or other lightweight odds and ends on the trunks.

Sponge or Soap Holder

A sponge or soap holder needs a plastic bowl to go on top of three or four animals that have flat backs. Think of animals such as lions, cows, sheep and hippos. Glue the animals together so their backs are against each other, and then glue a lightweight plastic bowl on top of those. Super glue or hot glue works great for this project. For an extra-sturdy hold, you can use epoxy, but be careful around children.Animal figurines as crafts are a great way to recycle unwanted toys. Even better, they serve as an activity to do with your children on a lazy afternoon at home, especially as a rainy day project.
