Have You Ever Crocheted Cables? This Beginner Projects Shows Us How!

If you’re ready to take your crocheting to the next level, go ahead and give this project a try.

I’ve heard of cabling used in knitting before (and even tried a few times, unsuccessfully, to do it myself) but I’ve never heard of crocheting cables before! This pattern is perfect for those of us just starting to try our hand at cabling. This headband is a short and simple enough project so we don’t get bogged down with multiple cables crossing over on a blanket or anything. Just the one cable to worry about for now!

The key to crochet cabling, as you’ll see in the video below, is utilizing front and back post crochet. You’ll mostly be crocheting in double crochets and treble crochets. Don’t worry – we learn how to do both stitches in the tutorial below! If you’re ready to take your crocheting to the next level, go ahead and give this project a try. Make sure to show us pictures of your finished cable headbands in the comments below!
