You know that we love composting and we consider it to be one our biggest not-so-secrets to a successful garden every year, but this year we wanted to try something that’s starting to get pretty popular: vermicompositing.

If you haven’t heard of vermicomposting before, it’s like normal composting but with worms! The reason we add the worms is because worm castings are rich in good bacteria and nutrients that aren’t available in “regular” composting.

If you want to take a stab at composting with worms but at a much cheaper price than you may otherwise find at the market especially given its increased popularity, check out the below video from MIgardener!
