This is the most underused knot in quilting, but one that you should be using!

If you’re not using this knot, you’re going to want to learn it now!

When you think about quilting and sewing, you’re likely thinking about fabric, stitches, patterns, and supplies, but how often do you stop and think about all of the different knots you are using and should know? I don’t often stop to think about it but when the question came up about who knows more knots, sewers or sailors, it got me thinking about all of the various ones I’ve learned in my years sewing and the knot that I deem one of the most underused: the quilter’s knot.

The quilter’s knot is the knot you would most likely use at the beginning of hand sewing. If you don’t know how to make this quilter’s knot or if you need to refresh your memory, check out the below tutorial which clearly walks through the process from start to finish!
