Grab your favorite knitting needles and some chunky yarn, and knit along with us as we learn a new stitch!

Grab your favorite knitting needles and some chunky yarn, and knit along with us as we learn a new stitch: The Hexagon Stitch! This stitch may look complicated, but it is really a matter of knitting in the right place. All of the stitches use for this pattern are a variant of the knit stitch and slip stitch, it’s just a matter of where you stick the needle, and which stitches you’re knitting. Sound complicated? It’s really quite simple once you get the hang of it!

Don’t you just love the texture in this hexagon pattern?! It’s so rich and sturdy! This would make a great pattern for a bag, blanket, or scarf. Or maybe a matching set of all three? Ok, maybe that’s too much. But it’s easy to see why we love this knitting pattern so much!

In the video below, the yarn was doubled up to get an extra thick pattern where the texture of the stitch really came out. You can experiment with different weights of yarn to see what you like best for your project! What will you make with the hexagon stitch? Share with us in the comments below!
