Special bags hang behind seats of your car so you don’t have to clamor for an extra pair of socks or shoes for your youngsters. You can also put first aid items, toys and snacks in the pouches. For more grown-up items, consider maps, notebooks and mobile device storage in these handy contraptions.

6. Trash Can

Upcycle an old jug from your refrigerator or a reusable cereal box as a trash can. Put a small, bathroom-sized trash bag inside and keep the lid on it when you don’t need to put trash in it. A plastic jug with a flip-up lid is ideal.

7. Shower Caddy

Organize bottles of antifreeze, windshield washer fluid, oil and fuel injector with a spare shower caddy in your trunk or cargo space. This keeps everything upright, out of the way and easy to find.
