DIY Jewelry

This ring is awesome! Would you believe this is made from crayons and a glass stone? For this project, you’ll need a flat, round metal jewelry disc with edges, some crayon pieces, clear super glue, and a glass stone. Gather a few crayon shavings and put them in the metal disk. Layer your colors and make sure you choose colors that blend well together. Put the disk on a baking sheet and bake it in the oven for a few minutes until the wax has melted. When it’s dry, place a dab of super glue over the wax and put a glass stone on top.

Cleaning Goo

All the kids are really into slime these days, but this cleaning goo is the grown-up version! While it’s still fun to play with, it also serves a purpose – cleaning those hard to reach places. Whether it’s your keyboard, the corners of the windowsill, or any other little nook and cranny the duster often misses, this goo will come in handy! Mix together school glue, light food coloring (optional), and baking soda until a firm but pliable “dough” of sorts starts to form. Plop the good down on any surface and watch as it grabs dust and crumbs out of all the little spaces!
