Dry Brush Ombre Art

Isn’t this just lovely? WOuld you believe that you can complete this whole project for under $50? I’ve seen similar items in stores that sell for hundreds of dollars! Plus, in this version, you can get your own custom colors to match your decor.

all you need for this project is a canvas, some sponge brushes, a big paint brush, and some paint. To make this project extra cost-effective, you can use the 50% off coupon from JoAnn for the canvas, or the 40% off coupon at Hobby Lobby. For the paint, simply bring something to color match like a pillow into Home Depot and ask for the small sample size. This will give you durable, quality paint that matches your decor for only a couple of bucks!

Once you have all of your supplies, start by painting a layer of white over the canvas. Then, add your darkest color to the bottom with your sponge brush. Mix some white in there and add another layer. Then, take color number two and add it right on top. Mix white in and add another layer. While everything is still wet, take your dry brush and make strokes from bottom to top. Get the full instructions here!
