5 Plants That Thrive In Low-Light

No light? No problem! These plants thrive in almost any condition!

Are you in a house or apartment that doesn’t get much natural light? For years I’ve lived in an apartment that has north-facing windows, and while it keeps the place cooler during the summer months, it’s not exactly an ideal place to grow houseplants. Or so I thought. It turns out there are quite a few plants that don’t need a lot of sunlight, even some that bloom! Go ahead and check out this list of 5 low-light houseplants. Make sure to watch the video on the last page for more info!

Peace Lily

The peace lily is a gorgeous plant, and one of the few low-light plants that actually bloom. Not only does this plant have a beautiful shape that will add dynamic style to any room, but the blooms will last for weeks! These grow about 18-24 inches tall, depending on the size of the pot. Peace lilies like to have a consistent watering schedule, about once a week. These are hardy plants that will let you know if they need more water. If you see your peace lily start to wilt, just add some water and it will pop right back up.
