Can You Guess How Many Books This 4-Year-Old Has Read?

I don’t know any other child that age who’s read THAT much!

Daliyah’s love for books began early. She read her first book out loud on her own at just two years old. When her mother enrolled her in a program to challenge her to read 1000 books before kindergarten, she surprised everyone by completing her goal before preschool. Now she’s got a new goal of 1500 books before kindergarten.

This girl is amazing. She doesn’t hesitate at words like “fundamental” or “cultivated” and wants to be a paleontologist when she grows up. I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t even pronounce that word, let alone tell you what it meant, when I was four.

Daliyah enjoys vising the library regularly, owns her own library card, and has started her own library collection at home. She happily reads children’s books and college-level material alike. Obviously, her passion for reading and learning has permeated every aspect of her life, and we couldn’t be more proud!

Watch the video below to learn more about Daliyah’s life and her trip to the Library of Congress, where she got to be a librarian for a day. Plus, she’ll show off her spectacular reading skills! Just wait until you hear the new word she’s learned! We bet you’ll have to look it up (we did)!
